We have released the "Decarbonization Roadmap for the Indian Cement Sector: Net Zero CO₂ by 2070." This is an important step toward decarbonization, as cement is the backbone of India's infrastructure and economy. Achieving this goal is a key aspiration for the sector. Additionally, we have represented the industry at various forums and look forward to more engaging opportunities in the future.

Release of Decarbonization Roadmap for the Indian Cement Industry

GCCA India, in collaboration with TERI, released the Decarbonization Roadmap for the Indian Cement Sector, aligning with India's net-zero target by 2070. The roadmap shows a structured pathway to reach net-zero CO₂. The roadmap emphasises technological innovations such as CCUS, kiln electrification and green hydrogen while also focusing on traditional decarbonisation levers like increasing the use of SCMs, decarbonising electricity, use of alternative fuels in cement kilns, energy efficiency, and efficient cement use along with Nature Based Solution (NbS) as a complementary lever for decarbonisation.

Mr. Joydeep Mukherjee was elected as the Co-Chair of GCCA India at the CEO committee meeting held in January 2025. Key Updates on the projects were also shared during the meeting.

At CEMTECH Asia 2025, Samanvaya Reddy (GCCA India) and Girish Sethi (TERI) jointly presented the Decarbonization Roadmap for the Indian Cement Sector, spotlighting the policy, technology, and financial enablers essential for achieving Net Zero CO₂ by 2070.

Second Train-the-Trainer session on Contractor Safety Management

GCCA India's workshop on Contractor Safety Management held on 18^th June, 2025 in Hyderabad, certified over 30 EHS professionals. More than 65 safety professionals are now trained on Contractor Safety Management across India.
